Megan Thee Stallion’s Broadway run in Moulin Rouge! The Musical took an unexpected turn Tuesday night when the Grammy-winning rapper became suddenly ill mid‑performance and had to be rushed to a New York City hospital, according to a statement from her team
The incident occurred during the March 31 performance at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, where Megan has been starring in a limited engagement. Audience members reported that the show abruptly paused after Megan left the stage, with theater staff asking attendees to remain seated as an understudy stepped in to complete the performance.
Her representative, Didier Morais, confirmed that Megan “started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated.” No details about the nature of her illness have been released.
News of her hospitalization spread quickly across social media. Her longtime hairstylist and friend Kellon Deryck posted, “Everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital,” prompting an outpouring of concern from fans.
As of now, Megan’s team has not provided further updates, but they’ve assured the public that more information will be shared as it becomes available. Fans and fellow performers continue to send well‑wishes for her recovery.
