R&B and Soul legend D’Angelo, born Michael Eugene Archer, reportedly has passed away at 51 after a private battle with pancreatic cancer.
Known for his timeless sound and smooth vocals, D’Angelo helped define the neo-soul era with his 1995 debut album Brown Sugar, featuring classics like “Lady,” “Cruisin’,” and “Brown Sugar.”
His 2000 hit “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” became a cultural moment, earning him a Grammy for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance, while his album Voodoo took home Best R&B Album.
His influence on R&B and soul will forever be felt!
