Comedian Mo’Nique is reminding the world — and Shannon Sharpe — that she did warn him. During a stop on Katt Williams’ Heaven on Earth comedy tour in Columbia, South Carolina, Mo’Nique used her time on stage to roast the former NFL star, who is currently facing a $50 million lawsuit from a woman 30 years his junior.
“Yes, I told that n**** Shannon Sharpe, leave them white b****es alone,” she said, referencing her candid February 2024 appearance on his Club Shay Shay podcast. Mo’Nique had urged Sharpe, 56, to stop dating much younger women and instead seek a partner who aligns with his stage in life — someone who could “rub his feet,” cook comforting meals like smothered turkey wings, and sip cognac with him at the end of the day.
“You don’t need no 26-year-old girl…take your ass and get you old b***h out there that can love you old,” she quipped on stage. Her sharp-tongued advice was laced with humor but, in hindsight, eerily prophetic.
Sharpe is now facing serious legal trouble after a woman identified as Jane Doe filed a lawsuit accusing him of rape and assault during a relationship that allegedly began in 2023 when she was just 20 years old. The lawsuit has triggered a wave of public scrutiny — and renewed attention to Mo’Nique’s warning.
Sharpe has denied all allegations, calling them an “extortion attempt” and stating that their relationship was entirely consensual. He also plans to countersue both the plaintiff and her attorney, Tony Buzbee.
Mo’Nique’s comedic jab may have drawn laughs, but her underlying message — about love, maturity, and the dangers of ignoring wisdom — is resonating louder than ever.
