Drake just turned May 15 into a full‑blown cultural event, dropping not one, not two, but three new albums: Iceman, Habibti, and Maid of Honour. The surprise release totals 43 songs and marks his first solo projects since 2023 and yes, he came ready to do his talk.
On Iceman, Drake wastes no time addressing the fallout from his high‑profile beef with Kendrick Lamar. He raps about the loss, the pressure, and the public scrutiny and still fires new shots at Kendrick, DJ Khaled, A$AP Rocky, and even J. Cole. Tracks like Make Them Cry, Make Them Pay, and 2 Hard 4 the Radio are loaded with references and reminders that he’s not done talking. On this album Drake leans heavily into Canadian pride. His videos feature the CN Tower, Yorkville, Union Station, and even Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow’s office. In Slap the City, he rocks a fur jacket covered in Canadian brand logos, the most “Canada down” moment of the whole rollout. This triple‑drop is Drake’s attempt to reset the narrative after losing the Kendrick battle and to remind fans he can still dominate every lane rap, R&B, and club music all at once.
